GRUNDY, Va. -- Nine Ruth Lee, 71, died Wednesday, May 31, 2000, in
Buchanan General Hospital in Grundy.
She was born in Lee County, a daughter of the late Bob and Bessie
Anderson.
She was a resident of Lee County for most of her life. She was a
homemaker, a
member of the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church and the widow of
Noel
Lee.
Surviving are two daughters, Wanda Walsh of Savannah, Ga. and Nina
McClanahan of Grundy; two sons, Elder Noel Lee Jr. of Speedwell, Tenn.,
and
Don Lee of Walterboro, S.C.; a sister, Ruby Jean Anderson of Dryden, Va.;
nine
grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Arney-Mullins

officiate. Burial will be in Elydale Cemetery in Ewing, Va.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Lee, Bryan Lee, Robert Walsh, Russell

Jeff Mashburn, Steve Cooper and Tim Julian. Honorary pallbearers will be
Roger
McClanahan, Oliver Lee, Lloyd Roberts and Clarence Martin.
