In the Will of John WILHITE:
Item 12th. I give to my Son Calvin B. WILHITE and his children my slave ANDY and one Quarter-section of land, viz (describing it) and three hundred dollars of my ready hard money....
Item 13th. It is my desire that my wife Mary WILHITE live on the land that I give my son Calvin B. WILHITE during her natural life of womanhood, if there should be two slave children of my blacks then, at that time, the Negroes to be be given up to the heirs or I Have directed....

John WILHITE died prior to 1843, as his widow Mary remarried Charles LOCKHART on February 09, 1843 in Morgan County, AL, by Joe H. Wallace, JP.

Both John and Mary are buried in the Wilhite Station Cemetery at the intersection of Highway 31 and I-65. Their tombstones were lost when they built the interstate." (from "The Heritage of Morgan County, Alabama" p. 867)
