Angelina L. Bettencourt (Angie), age 95, of Roseburg, OR, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2017. She was born on March 17, 1922, in Hollister, California.
Angie was raised and educated in Hollister. On January 28, 1940, in Hollister, she married Clarence Bettencourt. They lived in San Juan Bautista Valley before moving to Roseburg, OR, in 1967, where they bought a 77 acre ranch. They planted cherry and pear trees. Angie was a farmer’s wife that loved her flowers and yard.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Bettencourt and wife Sharon of Ayala Beach, CA, and their daughter, Janae Smith, and son, Cory and his wife Rene; Steve Bettencourt and wife Linda of Roseburg, and their son, Jason and wife Denise Bettencourt of Roseburg. Angie has five great-grandchildren, AJ, Hick, Joey, Mackenzie, and Taylor; also two great-great-grandchildren, Ryder and Tanner.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christine Bettencourt, who died in 1967, at the age of 15; her husband of 60 years, Clarence Bettencourt, who died March 2000. Angie also had 13 brothers and sisters who all preceded her in death.
