Tomasz was born in Sielec, Znin County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship in north-central Poland. He was Baptized on Dec. 7, 1856 in Juncewo, Znin County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship. He married Maryanna Borakeiwicz on Nov. 21, 1880 in Panigrodz, Wagrowiec County, Wielkopolska Voivodeship in west-central Poland. He and Maryanna immigrated to America with son Walter and daughter Branislawa (Bernice) in 1889.
