Helen was born on November 11, 1917 in Pleasant Hill, LA. She went to be with the Lord on May 8, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis P. and Susie Allen; husband, A.C. Rigdon; brothers, Elton, J.B, John and Woodrow; sisters, Ellen (twin), Beulah and Ann; and son, Randall Word.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Debra Murphy and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Sondra Jordan and husband, Damon, Deborah Jackson and husband, Patrick, Todd Murphy and wife, Summer, and Nicole Crochet and husband, Clay; great-grandchildren, Zackary Jordan, Victoria Jordan, Devin Murphy, Killian Murphy and Blake Crochet and numerous nieces and nephews.
