Betty Lorene Andrews Corneliussen, 86, of Lady Lake, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007. Mrs. Corneliussen was born in Arthur, Ohio the daughter of Floyd and Sarah (Deatrick) Andrews. and she moved to Florida from Ohio in 1961. She was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Leesburg. Prior to moving to Florida, she co-owned a grocery store and gas station with her husband for 16 years in Ohio; co-organized and directed a community park in Charloe, OH; a member of VFW Auxillary Post # 587; co-owned and managed The Gulf Station in Lady Lake in 1961; built, co-owned and managed the Chevron station in Lady Lake from 1963-1981. She also loved to read and was very active with her children during their school years. Survivors include her husband, Ernest Corneliussen of Lady Lake; sons, Gene of Eustis, Rick of Ocala and Dennis of Ocala; daughters, Nylice Thomas of Paulding, OH, Margene Hopper of Belleview, Lorene Sasser of Lady Lake, Tammy Goddard of Tampa; twenty-three grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Leesburg with Dr. Richard E. Barbour, officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, February 9, 2007 from 5-7 PM. Interment will be at Lady Lake Cemetery, Lady Lake. For those who wish, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake & Sumter, 12300 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home, Lady Lake.
