May 1991 – Passage. Etta Rasmussen Grant, age 81, died May 20, 1991, at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born February 19, 1910, at Fairview (Sanpete County), Utah to Amasa and Sarah Elizabeth Stewart Rasmussen. Married David L. Grant on September 8, 1972, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1978.
Active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; served a mission to Northern California (1948-49). Worked in Sunday School, YWMIA, and member of the ward Relief Society presidency. Longtime prominent member of the 18th Ward and temple worker for many years prior to her illness. Served with her husband as a missionary at the LDS Visitor Center in West Yellowstone in 1973. She was gifted in arts and crafts.
Survived by two sons and a daughter, David M. Grant and Paul G. Grant, both Salt Lake City; and Colleen G. Dick, Columbus, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services on Friday, May 24, at 12 noon, Larkin Chapel, 260 East South Temple, where friends may call on Friday, 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be at American Fork (Utah County) Cemetery.
