Nicolasa (Alvarado) Palma, age 86, of Sweetwater passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at McCoy Chapel of Memories with Elder Johnny DeLeon officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. A visitation will be Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at McCoy Funeral Home.
She was born September 10, 1930 in Sweetwater to the late Maximo and Felipa (Beltran) Alvarado. She married Ruben Rodriguez Palma May 10, 1948 in Sweetwater. Nicolasa was a self-employed housekeeper, had lived in Sweetwater all her life and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She is survived by her sons Ruben Palma, Jr. and wife Linda of Odessa, Tony Palma and wife Mary of Sweetwater, Arnold Palma and wife Sylvia of Sweetwater, daughters Ofelia Sandoval and husband Julian of Grand Prairie, Odilia Palma of Sweetwater; two brothers and three sisters. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, an infant son Abelardo Palma, one daughter Ermelinda (Palma) Hernandez, four brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons Steven Palma, Brian Palma, Tony Palma, Jr., Eric Palma, Steven C. Palma and Randy Melendez.
