Phyllis was born a Yankee Doodle Dandy to Walter and Julia Kuehner.
She grew up in South Omaha and graduated from South High School.
After high school she had jobs in the debt collection business, insurance industry and the promotion department of the World Herald. While at the World Herald she was frequently photographed for promotions and feature stories.
On a blind date in early 1950 she met the love of her life, Adam Zoucha. They were married on September 6-1952.
Phyllis provided a loving nurturing and intellectually stimulating home to their five children. She was a huge support to Adam in his medical career.
She was fun, creative and imaginative woman and accomplished artist.
