Greenwood, April 28 - William L Jones, a former resident of Geenwood, died suddenly in St Louis, MO yesterday according to a message to relatives here today. Death was due to heart disease.

Body will be brought here for burial.

Mr Jones made his home in the West for about 10 years, after having served about 15 years in the US Army. Until a short time ago, he was engaged in the lumber business but had written just a few days ago that he expected to return here.

Survived by his father, J A Jones and one brother, J S Jones, both of Greenwood.

James Alexander Jones married Nancy Hughey, a sister of the late J L Hughey (James died Nov 11, 1936 and his wife, Nancy died in 1921 ) and they had 2 sons:
1. William (Bill) Jones removed to the West and died single.
