"Arthur E. Amsberry, 80, died Friday, August 20, 1993 in the hospital at Valentine. He was born November 18, 1912 at Berwyn to Lyman and Mary (Wayne) Amsberry. He moved to the Sandhills with his family in 1926.
He was employed by CB&Q and Burlington Railroads for 30 years before retiring in 1976.
Survivors include his wife, Helen of Mullen; son Milton of Valentine; daughters Iva Polanco of Alliance and Bytha Garner of Crescent City, California; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 24th at 2:00 p.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Mullen with the Revs. Darrell Schmidt and Ron Blauvelt officiating. Burial will be in the Cedarview Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday at Mullen Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home in Mullen or the American Heart Association."
