Eliza Elizabeth Hinkle was the youngest of four known children of Solomon Hinkle (1817-1860) and Sarah (went by Sallie) Maria Mock Hinkle (1819-1891), who married 23 Nov 1846 at Davidson County, North Carolina. It is not known where Sallie is buried.

Eliza married David Rosivell Myers (1849-1915) on 07 Feb 1871 at Davidson County, North Carolina. Eliza and David were the parents of eleven known children, namely:

1. Cyrus Luther Myers (1872-1921)
2. Edward M. Myers (1873-a1970)
3. Junius Lindsey Myers (1875-1951)
4. Zeb B. Vance Myers (1877-1923)
5. Minnie Lee Myers Ijames (1880-1955)
6. Emma Elizabeth Myers Beck (1882-1942)
7. Susie Myrtle Myers Anderson (1885-1958)
8. Odessa Flossie Myers (1887-1913)
9. Jefferson Davis Myers (1890-1921)
10. Grover Cleveland Myers (1892-1982)
11. William Jennings Bryan Myers (1897-1970)

In 1880 the parents (David a farmer) and first two children were living at Tyro, Davidson County, North Carolina. In 1900 David (a farmer), Eliza (mother of 11, all living) and children Minnie, Lizzie, Susie, Odessa, Jefferson, Grover and William were living at Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina.

The death certificate of Addie Myers Goss (1873-1915), widow of William Lindsey Goss, clearly lists her as the daughter of David R. Myers and Eliza Hinkle. However Addie is not listed on the 1880 census with David and Eliza, just an Edward M. Myers (age 7, a son). In 1900 Eliza said she was mother of 11, 11 living. Was Addie adopted? Or is the Edward M. Myers entry incorrect? Or is Addie's death certificate incorrect?
