Earmal W. Cross was born Oct. 23, 1905, in Christian county and died January 11, 1949 in a Nevada hospital following a lingering illness at the age of 43. Survivors include two sons, James and John Pierce, by a previous marriage, both of the state of California; her father, Jesse Melton of Ozark; one sister, Mrs. Vesta Gold of Route 1 Billings; and a brother, Herschel Melton of Castleton, IL. Funeral services were conducted Friday at 1 pm in the Maples-Harris Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lynn Swadley officiating. Burial was made in the Selmore cemetery.
