Edmond was two years old on board the Titanic when it sunk. He and his brother survived. Their father, who had taken them away from their mother upon the parents' separation, died. The children were eventually reunited with their mother when she recognized their faces on a notice about the identity of the surviving Titanic children. During World War II he fought with the French Army, was captured and made a prisoner-of-war. He managed to escape from the camp in which he was held, but his health had suffered and he died in the early 1950's aged 43
