Margaret Ann C. (Dittmar) Bowers, 75, of Newark, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at the Newark Healthcare Centre. She was born March 1, 1924 in Zanesville, to the late Caspar and Francis "Fanny" (Roberts) Dittmar. She was a graduate of Lash High School and graduated from nursing school in San Bernardino, Calif. Before retiring she was a private duty nurse.

Surviving are her four sisters-in-laws, Gladys Schoffner, Mary Lou Langille and Virginia (Clyde) Henry; all of Newark, and Irene Evans of Heath; one brother-in-law, Russel Bowers of Bloomfield, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Bowers, in 1985; and four brothers and one sister.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, at Poplar Fork Cemetery in Gratiot with Rev. William J. Rauch officiating. Memorial contributions to assist the family with the funeral expenses may be made to Henderson Van Atta & Johnson Funeral Services, Newark.
