Services for Bessie Finley Poe, age 79, of the Hampton's Crossroads Community of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held Monday, April 17, 2017 in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor James Haynes officiating.

Interment will follow in Oakley Cemetery on Highland Mountain in Overton County, Tennessee.
Mrs. Poe passed from this life on Saturday, April 15, 2017 in Cookeville, Tennessee following a brief illness.

Bessie was born on Sunday, August 01, 1937 in Overton County, Tennessee to the late
Marvin Finley and Sarrah Harris Finley.

Bessie was a long time member of Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church. For many years, she worked at McCords in Cookeville.

She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Audie Wright, Ida Ledford,
Myrtle McDonald, and Emma Cowan.

She is survived by her husband of twenty three years, Leon Poe;
two sons, Ronald Flatt and his wife Ann, and John Flatt, and his wife Paula; her three grandchildren, Josh Flatt, Adam Flatt, and Sarrah Flatt, all of Putnam County; a sister, Fannie Smith, of Rickman; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Deacons from Hampton's Crossroads Baptist Church.
