BURLINGTON - Beatrice Avery Bradshaw, age 91, of Wilkins Street went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Harnett County and the wife of the late Jesse Bradshaw.

Beatrice retired after 20 years from Western Electric and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a member of Harvest Hills Church and a lifetime member of the DAV Auxiliary. Beatrice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Survivors include her children, Jessie Maye Hester of Burlington, Jack Bradshaw and his wife Mary of Atlantic Beach, NC, Marilyn Bradshaw of Graham, Dylan Bradshaw and his wife, Debbie of Graham; grandchildren, Joni and Danny Alexander, Jennifer and Michael Kerr, Patrice and Chris Botzis, Vonnie Core, Jay Bradshaw, Brad Bradshaw, Ryan Bradshaw, June and David Flacks, Heather and Ron Wolford and Valarie Bradshaw; 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, James Oscar and Missouri Johnson Bradshaw; daughters, Sue Core and Faye Riley; sons, Rick Bradshaw and Jeffrey Scott Bradshaw; son-in-law, Bennie Hester and grandchildren, Ronald Core, Janet Hester Davis and Toby Andrews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Harvest Hills Church by Dr. Russell Morris and the burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church and other times at the home. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
