Allene was born September 22, 1941 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Leo and Rachel Wilson Geitner.
A member of Resurrection Parish, Allene sang with the choir at the church and also with Genesee Chorale. She worked cancer research at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.
Survivors include one brother, Jay (Marlies) Geitner of Batavia; two nephews, Leo Geitner III of Batavia and Eric (Sara) Geitner of LeRoy and two great-nephews, Case Geitner and Ben Geitner.
There are no prior calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
