Allan Jay Cassatt, 80, of Mount Joy, formerly of Enola, died peacefully Monday, April 3, 2017 at ManorCare Health Services, Elizabethtown. He was the loving husband of Betty (Hoffman) Cassatt with whom he celebrated 57 years of marriage this past February. Born in Enola, he was the son of the late Linus and Edith (Trout) Cassatt.

Allan worked as an equipment specialist for the Blindness and Visual Services of Harrisburg, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for 26 years before retiring in 1999. Allan proudly served in the U.S. Army. He attended the Capitol Area Christian Church in Mechanicsburg. His hobbies included being a craftsman, where he could use his talents creating projects with his hands, and hunting.

He is survived by his wife, Betty, along with: a son Allan Cassatt, Carlisle; three daughters Chrystal, wife of John Madara, Mount Joy; Jennifer, wife of Richard Grove, Shermans Dale; Kimberly Moyer, Mechanicsburg; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and two sisters Barbara Boone, Glen Burnie MD, and Gladys Cassatt, Michigan. He was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Allan's memorial service at LCBC Harrisburg, 4150 Chambers Hill Road, Harrisburg, PA on Saturday May 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. Buch Funeral Home, Inc. Mount Joy PA in charge of arrangements.
