William R. Skeels, born to Wayne J. Skeels and Bernice E. Drew on March 7, 1937 in Lakeview, Oregon, passed away October 7, 2013 in Everett, Washington, at the age of 76. He attended Tonasket High School, served in the U.S. Army, graduated from Central Washington State with a B.A. in Parks and Recreation and followed a career path that led to being Parks and Recreation Director for city government. William was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Linda Skeels Kumpf. He is survived by his children, Wade L. and Wyn R. Skeels of Berkely, CA, and W. Troy Skeels of Oaxaca, Mexico; and two grandchildren.

William R. Skeels, 76, of Everett, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013.

He was a former resident of Tonasket. He had worked as parks and recreation director for Seattle City Parks, Ellensburg City Parks and Moses Lake City Parks.

Survivors include his children, Wade L. Skeels and Wyn R. Skeels, both of Berkeley, Calif., and Troy Skeels of Mexico.

A graveside service in Tonasket next summer will be announced.
