Kenneth H. Bush Sr., 72, of Biglerville, formerly of Hopewell, died at 9:23 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, 1989, at the VA Medical Center, Martinsburg, W. Va., after a six-month illness.
A funeral was held Saturday at the S. Gerald Weaver Funeral Home, Woodbury, by the Rev. George Marar.
Mr. Bush was buried at Koontz Cemetery, New Enterprise RD.
He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in Claysburg, the son of Edward and Alice (Fletcher) Bush, and on March 30, 1939, in New Enterprise, married Phoebe Smyers, who died in March, 1964.
Surviving are four sons, Kenneth H. Jr. of Pottstown, Robert L. of Orlando, Fla., Wayne E. of Altoona and William R. of East Berlin; 20 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his mother of State College; and two sisters and a brother, Florence Baker of Martinsburg, Mary Frye of Williamsburg and Edgar in Indiana.
Mr. Bush retired as a custodian at the Gettysburg Battlefield.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
