James David Littlejohn was the son of Marcellus Littlejohn and Melissa Brown Littlejohn Lawrence.

He married Christina L. Huckaby in 1869. She died about 1870.

In 1872 he married Mary Lavinia Pound, daughter of Thomas Walker and Lucinda Hall Pound. Mary Lavinia died in 1885.
Their children were:
Arthur R. married Maggie Pledger
Lucinda Albertine married W. Matheney
James Marcellus married Lula Mary Pledger
Thomas Marvin married Frankie Baker
Lydia Fostina married John E.Chambers
Lavinia Pearl married Oscar Clement

James David married Rebecca Pledger Piper in 1887.
They had one son,Luther, who died in infancy.

The stones for James David and Mary Lavinia could no longer be found, but records exist that they were buried in Pound Cemetery. Descendants of their family replace the stones in 2016.
