Lille M. Dunbar, 84, of Zion, Illinois, died January 28, 1997 at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion.

She was born October 12, 1912 in Paw Paw, Illinois and came to Zion in 1953 from Cadillac, Michigan.

She was a member of the Christian Assembly of God Church in Zion. She and her late husband, W. Bruce Dunbar, had owned and operated the Ben Franklin Store in Zion from 1953 to 1965.

She is survived by 3 children, Gloria (Rod) Mayo of Hartford, Michigan, Bruce (Barbara) Dunbar of Hayward, California, and Edward Dunbar of Sacramento, California; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, William (Jane) Warren of Cadillac; and 2 sisters, Ruth Edwards of Florida, and Ila (Everett) Russ of Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Bruce Dunbar who also served as mayor of Zion from 1963 to 1975; her mother and father, Edward and Susan Warren; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Warren and Elizabeth Wilbur.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 1997 at 11:00 a.m. at the Christian Assembly of God Church, 2929 Bethel Boulevard, Zion with the Rev. William Douglas and the Rev. Phil A. Meher officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
