Wilson Robert (Bob) Bull Sr., age 86 of Shelton, previously of Stratford, husband of the late Jacquelin Brooks Bull, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Born in Port Carbon, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert and Bessie Mae Wilson Bull and had been a Stratford resident for many years until moving to Shelton 13 years ago. Bob was employed by R.E. Carroll, Inc of Trenton, N.J. from 1971 to 1989 as head of sales for New England and continued as a consultant for R.E. Carroll throughout his retirement years. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II receiving a special letter of commendation from President Harry S. Truman and retired from the Naval Reserves in 1968 with a rank of lieutenant. He was a lifetime member of the Retired Officers Association, the VFW, the American Chemical Society and the Connecticut Rubber Group. He was a past member of Grace Lutheran Church in Stratford where he served on the Church Council for many years. He was also a past member of the Milford Yacht Club and Race Brook Country Club. Survivors include his devoted children, a son, two daughters, six grandchildren, a great grandson, and two great-granddaughters. The family would like extend special thanks to the St.Vincent's Medical Center Emergency Room Staff, the 7th floor Nursing Staff and the Palliative Care Staff for their compassionate and gentle care given to their father during his stay. Friends are invited to attend services Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 11 a.m. meeting DIRECTLY in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull with Rev. Linda Kraff officiating. Entombment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery Mausoleum. There will be no public visiting hours and in lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent's Medical Center Cardiac Fund, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606 or to the memorial fund at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611.
