Mr. Lenox was a 1951 graduate of Falmouth High School. He attended Virginia Tech and was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Korean War. Mr. Lenox was a retired union carpenter. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Lee Lenox; two sisters Iva Healy and Minnie Anderson; and three brothers Mitchell Lenox, Edwin Lenox and Floyd Lenox, Sr.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Lenox McBroom (Mike) of Stafford; daughter-in-law Karen Lenox of Stafford; three grandchildren Ronnie Sanford, Jr. of Boonsboro, Md., Kathryn Lenox Lloyd (Benjamin) of Stafford and John Lenox of Stafford; sister Leona Heflin of Midland; brothers Benny Lenox Sr. (Norma) of Stafford and Michael Lenox of Stafford; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8 at Grace United Methodist Church.
