Mr. Campman was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Wheatland, the son of Albert Campman Sr. and Belle Loosemore Campman.

He was a 1946 alumnus of Farrell High School. In that same year, he went on to serve with the U.S. Navy on Cape Johnson.

A decorated disabled war veteran, he served from 1950 until 1952 aboard the USS Wisconsin during the Korean War and received the Korean service medal as well as the United States Service Medal.

Mr. Campman was a lifetime member of Disabled American War Veterans.

At one time he served as councilman for Wheatland City Council.

He worked for 35 years as a millwright in the soaking pits at the former Sharon Steel Corp.'s Farrell Plant. Later, he worked nine years for Sharpsville Fabricators, where he retired in 1990.

Mr. Campman was a baseball coach for 14 years in the Babe Ruth division, Farrell.

He enjoyed both hunting and gardening, but his greatest joy was his family and his grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
