Dunnellon - Roland Lee Listebarger went home to be with his maker on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at his son's home in Naples, Florida. He was born on February 25, 1945 in Rochester, New York to the late Issac (Bud) Listebarger and Benita Briney Listebarger.
Surviving him are a son, Kevin Listebarger (Faith); a daughter, Michelle Willey (Johnny); his mother, Benita Listebarger; six grandsons, Zachary, Timothy, EJ, Corey, Aaron and Joey; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are brothers, Larry Listebarger (Joanie), Bruce Listebarger (Vicki), and Russell Listebarger (Daphne).
Roland was preceded in death by his wife, Jerry Listebarger; two brothers, Elmer (Bud) Listebarger, Thomas Listebarger; and granddaughter, Heather.
Roland served his country in the Navy on the U.S.S. Okinawa in the early 1960s. He enjoyed the great outdoors as an avid motorcyclist.
He will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at Good Shephard Cemetery in Ocala, Florida. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Donations can be given in memory of Roland to River Life Church, 2872 W. Dunnellon Rd, Dunnellon, Florida 34423.
