BIRTH: Supposed to be Sep 8 1626 in Norfolk Co VA parents William Tucker and Mary Thompson. (Capt. Tuckers 1642 will does not name son John.)

1/28/1672-73: Deed of gift from Thomas Gerard, Esq. of Westmoreland Co., VA to John Tucker, Gerard Tucker, Sarah Tucker, and Rose Tucker "children of the deceased Mr. John Tucker in the county afsd. begotten by him on my now loving wife, Mrs. Rose Gerard" to be delivered to them at the age of 18 (Colonial Virginians and Their Maryland Relatives, Tucker).

WILL: The will of John Tucker was proved in Westmoreland May 31,1671. His legatees were his daughters Sarah and Rose Tucker (who married, subsequently, Mr. Blackistone, of Maryland), 5,000 pounds of tobacco each; and unborn child, 5,000 pounds tobacco; eldest son (whom he does not name) and wife Rose. Appoints Captain (Thomas) Phillpot and Mr. Richard Kenner, of Westmoreland, overseers. Mrs. Rose Tucker married (II) Thomas Gerrard, of Westmoreland (formerly of Maryland, she was his second wife); and he, on January 28th, 1672, made a deed of gift to the children of Mr. John Tucker, deceased, and of "my now wife, Mrs. Rose Gerrard," vizt; John, Gerrard, Sarah and Rose Tucker. On April 24th, 1674, Mrs. Rose Gerrard, widow, made a deed in consideration of a marriage contracted between her eldest daughter, Sarah, and William Fitzhugh. Mrs. Gerrard married (III) John Newton, of Westmoreland prior to May 16th, 1677." (Virginia Historical Magazine) "Dr. Gerrard's wife, Susanna, died before 1672-'73, whereupon he married Rose, the widow of John Tucker, whose children were John, Gerrard, Sarah (married William Fitzhugh) and Rose, to which children Gerrard (then married to his second wife) made a gift."

Colonial Virginians and Their Maryland Relatives- A Genealogy of the Tucker Family by Norma Tucker: Thomas Gerard has a son, Justinian who marries Sarah Tucker (Maunders), widow of Wilkes Maunders and sister to John Tucker of Westmoreland County, Virginia. Justinian's will is dated 1682 and proved in St. Mary's County in 1688.
