Everett A. Akers, age 67, a resident of Arlington, Ore., passed away at home Feb. 11 2017.
Everett leaves behind his wife; his two children; also five grandchildren; his two brothers and sister.
Everett was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving from 1969 to 1973, where he earned several medals. He grew up in Roseburg, Oregon, born to Everett and Joyce Akers.
He had a love of building and fixing up old cars and trucks, fishing, hunting and being a dad and grandfather.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Roseburg National Cemetery, VA Cemetery Annex; 913 NW Garden Valley Blvd, Roseburg, Oregon.
