3 Feb 2007: Thelma Blough Eash, 82, Cedar Haven Nursing Home, died Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at the home. She was the wife of Merle L. Eash, Sr., who resided at Cedar Haven with her. They were married November 22, 1950, just celebrating 56 years together. She was born in Johnstown June 24, 1924, to Ernest and Edna Rummel Blough. Thelma retired from Milton Hershey School working 20 years as a secretary and at Founders Hall in the food service department. She was a member of Gravel Hill United Methodist Church, where she was active in the United Methodist Women's Group. In addition to her husband, Merle, she is survived by her children, George A. Eash and his wife, Deb of Fredericksburg, PA, Merle Eash, Jr., and his wife, Tammy of Annville, Donald G. Eash and his wife, Betsy of Downingtown, Joyce E. Brightbill and her husband, Gary of Fredericksburg, VA, and Judy M. Hair and her husband, Terry of Beaverdam, VA; 30 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister Mary Pugh of Tire Hill, PA; and brother Ernest Ray Blough, Jr., of Bedford, PA. Two sisters, Helen Constable and Kathryn Blough preceded her in death. Service Tuesday, February 6, in her church. Burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. [Harrisburg Patriot-News]
