James “Jim” Everett Tharp, 84, of Milton, KY passed away on April 2, 2017 at King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Madison, IN. He was born on January 24, 1933 in Campbellsburg, KY to the late James “Jiggs” and Anna Katherine Jones Tharp Wallace.
Jim served his country proudly in the United States Army. In 1982 he opened the Farm House Restaurant in Bedford, KY where showed his love for good food to the community. Jim enjoyed woodworking, antiques, going to flea markets and traveling. His greatest joy was his beloved family.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his two daughters, Sheralin Burkhardt and her husband Tom of Milton, KY, Lisa Stewart and her husband Timothy also of Milton, KY; half-sister Barbara Handlon of LaGrange, KY; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and many family and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janet Phillips Tharp and one brother Allen Wallace.
