Mamie V. Anderson, 90, of Croghan Pike, Shade Gap, PA, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the home of her daughter, Shirley Williams, Croghan Pike, Shade Gap, PA.
Born May 20, 1926 in Dublin Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, she was a daughter of the late Paul & Olive (Carlin) Wilson. She was first married to Willis W. Bair who preceded in death on March 26, 1959. She later married Norman L. “Dave” Anderson on December 18, 1963. Mr. Anderson preceded in death on May 29, 2000.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Williams and husband Charles of Croghan Pike, Shade Gap, PA, Donna Tatelbaum of Clearwater, FL and Nancy Wert and husband Dennis of York, PA and one step daughter, Marlene Parks of Shade Gap, PA. She is also survived by eight grandsons, fifteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and a number of step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Bair, one step daughter,Geraldine Locke, one step grandson, four brothers and four sisters.
Mrs. Anderson was primarily a homemaker who also owned and operated a paperwood business for a number of years.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Marlin “Butch” Neil officiating. Interment will be made at Fair Ridge Cemetery, RD, Shade Gap, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home 6 - 8 PM Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
