Paul Phillips Obituary

PHILLIPS, Paul Richard. 94. Passed away Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at the Otterbein Nursing Facility. He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Phillips, they were happily married for 69 years. They resided in Greenhills for over 62 years. He is survived by his son Richard (Pam), two grandsons Brad (Meghan), Mark (Katherine), and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Madeline.

Paul grew up in Hinton, WV where he was a standout football player at Hinton High School and went on to Wake Forest. Paul was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II on the USS Manuel DE-351. He worked on the railroad in Hinton till 1954, before moving to Cincinnati where he began working at General Electric in Evendale until retiring. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time collecting coins.He was the oldest member of the Presbyterian Church of Glendale.

Visitation will be at the Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springdale Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 1:30 - 2:30 PM. Burial service immediately following at Oak Hill Cemetery. Family asked in lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity in his honor.
