Obituary
Cathren [sic Catharine] Walker was born in Clinton county, Ohio, Sept. 15, 1820, and departed this life August 9th, 1902, aged 81 years, 10 months and 26 days. Miss Walker moved with her parents to Wells county, Indiana, in the year 1853, and settled near Liberty Center. On the 2nd day of July, 1854, she was united in marriage to Hiram Mossburg, and they began housekeeping on the farm where she died. To them was born one son, Robert H., who still lives to mourn the loss of a mother. Her husband departed this life March 27th, 1871. When at the age of 22, Mrs. Mossburg united with the Disciple church in Clinton county, Ohio. With her son, she leaves two sisters, one brother and many other relatives to mourn her absence. Grandma being a pioneer, was well and favorably known by all the community. In a good old age she has been gathered to her people. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. J. L. Barclay at the late residence, to a large audience of sympathizing friends. Interment took place at Mossburg cemetery.
