Mae,as she was called, was wife to Rayford Elbert Blitch, Sr. She was the youngest of 4 children born to Joseph Frank Lines and Kathryn Caledonia Stewart. Her father's mother, Mary Ann Hobson Lines was one of the founders of the Phi Mu sorority at Weslian Universtiy in Macon, Geoprgia. She was known as Big Bobbie to her grandchildren. Funeral Rites Today
Quincy, Aug. 1 ---
Mrs. Mary Lines Blitch, 63, died this morning in a
Jacksonville hospital where she had been ill for
several weeks.
She was born at Lake City and moved to Quincy where
she lived for many years. She was a lifelong member of
the Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted in Centenary
Methodist Church here at 5 P.M. Tuesday, the Rev.
Clayton Calhoun, assisted by the Rev. E. F.
Quarterman, officiating. Interment will be in Eastern
Cemetery in Quincy.
Mrs. Blitch is survived by her husband, R. E. Blitch,
Sr., four daughters, Miss Kate Stewart Blitch, Mrs. J.
C. Hinson, Mrs. Kenneth Harmon, and Mrs. Forrest
Taylor, all of Quincy; two sons, R. E. Blitch, Jr. and
John Allen Blitch, both of Quincy; one sister, Mrs. E.
E. Pomeroy of Jacksonville, and seven grandchildren.
