Attending school in Teton, St. Anthony and Arizona, he married Marilyn Osborne April 13, 1958 in Teton City. Employed for the City of Ashton, doing maintenance and as a police officer, he worked for the State Highway Department until his retirement. He worked part time for the US Forest Service.
Hunting, fishing, camping woodworking and being with his family and friends were his passion.
Marilyn, his wife; Danny Thomson, Terry (Tami) Thomson, Susie (Lorenzo) Perez and Corbit (Eliza) Thomson, his children; Margaret Farley, a sister; Doyle (Jean) Thomson, a brother; and four grandchildren survive. His parents, sisters, Inez Archer and Helen Romrell, and brother, Virgil Thomson, predeceased Wayne.
