After graduating from Lindsay High School in 1940, Preston went on to receive his degree in Building Trades from College of the Sequoias in Visalia, California.
Preston proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard from November 1942 to December 1945 as a Carpenters Mate 2nd Class.

In retirement, Preston and Ella enjoyed spending time with family and their many friends, and traveling to various parts of the United States that he loved so well.

Preston was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, and was loved by all who knew him.
The family wishes to express great gratitude to the loving angels of Hinds Hospice.
