Pete taught in the Northampton Area School District from 1959 until he retired in 1993. He was a charter member of the Ambulance Corp. of Hanover Twp. Vol. Fire Company #1 of Northampton County. He was a Master Mason also serving as a Shriner. Pete also served on the property committee of his church Star of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and as a treasurer of the Northampton Area School District Employee Credit Union for many years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching high school and college sports.
Survivors: Harold will be lovingly remembered by his companion, Patricia Gubish; children, Mindy S. Garland, Vicky Romagnoli and husband Thomas, and Peter M. Garland and wife Jennifer all of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Christopher R. and Sara E. George and Katherine N. and Abigail E. Garland; sister, Eleanore A. Weiss of Atlanta, GA. He was predeceased by sister, Jeannette G. Williamson and half-sister, Cynthia Fehnel.
Services: A viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cantelmi Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St. Bethlehem. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home where the family will receive family and friends from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
