She was born on February 6th 1924 in Berlin Vt., the daughter of Charles Joseph and Anna (Shepard) Bean, she was the youngest of eight children.
She graduated from St. Michael's High School in 1942.
After graduating she went to Washington DC and worked at the Pentagon and the Department of Agriculture during World War II.
She returned to Vermont after the war and worked at The Green Mountain Insurance Company and the Vermont Highway Department.
She married Earl Charles Leonard, the love of her life, on July 18th 1946 in Northfield, Vermont. He predeceased her on June 3rd 2006.
Whom she'd previously met in the one room school house in Riverton Vt. that they attended.
Annabelle and Earl spent most of their years in Brattleboro and South Burlington Vt., they enjoyed wintering in Florida.
She was an active participant in her community, volunteering at the community library and at the hospital for many years.
She loved to read, dance, needlepoint, sew, garden and be outdoors in the sun.
A graveside service will be held in late spring.
