Lark attended Paris Elementary and in 1934 she was Valedictorian at Fielding High School. After high school she attended Brigham Young University, Ricks College, and Utah State University.
In 1941 she married Ben Bateman in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and to this union were three children; Todd (Cathy) Bateman of Afton Wyoming, Libbie (William) Hodges of Winters, California, and Peter Bateman of Lovelock, Nevada.
Lark was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She held several positions in the Church; Primary, where she taught dances and games, Mutual, Sunday School and The Relief Society. She was a long time school teacher and was also a part of the Paris Literary Club.
Funeral services for Lark Allred Bateman will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at the Paris Stake Center, Bloomington Ward LDS Chapel, beginning at 12:00 pm. A viewing will be held that morning at the Paris Stake Center, from 10:30 am to 11:45 am, prior to the services. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery.
