LUBBOCK, TEXAS: Billye Joyce LeNoir Garrett, 83, died August 9, 2006. She was born March 3, 1923 to Sallye Bellomy and Henry Louis LeNoir, Sr. She retired from the Lubbock State School. She was a registered nurse, and worked at St. Mary's and Highland Hospitals, as well as caring for private patients. She attended Trinity Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. She was a volunteer at UMC. She is survived by a son, Phil; a daughter-in-law, Julia; her grandchildren; and her friends. She was preceded in death by a son, Dale Scott Garrett; a brother, Henry Louis LeNoir, Jr.; and her parents. Burial was at Elmwood Memorial Park by Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home.
