Noble Life Ended
Wife of Robert Maxwell Passed Away Today.
Was a Fine Christian Mother Whose Death Brings Sorrow to Many - Funeral Sunday.
Mrs. Isabell Maxwell, wife of Robert Maxwell, passed away this morning at her home, 824 West Sycamore street, following an illness of five months. The deceased was born in Mt. Vernon, Indiana, October 16, 1850, and was married to Robert Maxwell August 25, 1872, at Bloomington, Ill., To this union were born eight children, two dying in infancy and Mrs. Jenny Bell Welch, wife of John Welch of El Reno, Okla., dying in 1899. Mrs. Maxwell was an active worker of the First Methodist church, being a member for the past thirty-five years. She was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She bore her suffering patiently and put her trust in the Savior.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband and four sons, John H., of Salt Creek, Wyo.; W.F. of Ochelata, Okla.; V.C. of Copan, Okla., and Robert A. of Wichita.
Funeral services will be held at the Grace M.E. church Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be made in Mount Hope cemetery.
