Alfred Dominick Sileo (94), a resident of Oakdale, NY, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2016. Born in Brooklyn, NY, in 1922, Alfred served in Europe in WWII for the 774th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Alfred was an exceptional husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, uncle and friend. He had a gentle manner, wit and intelligence that drew people to him. An avid Mets and Jets fan who memorized baseball rosters from years ago, Alfred never lost the faith.
