Mrs. Sarah Derry Dies Sunday Morning at Residence Northwest of City
Mrs. Sarah Catherine Derry, 78, wife of Francis M. Derry, residing north of the city on the county line, died at 7:30 o'clock Sunday morning, of infirmities of age and complications.
The daughter of Wilson and Mary Kirtley, she was born in Tipton county, August 16, 1859. On April 20, 1885, she wsa married to Francis Derry. Six children were born to this union.
Surviving besides the widow are three children, Mrs. W. T. Atchley, Gideon, Mo.; Mrs. William Warrilow, Gary, and Merritt Derry, Ft. Smith, Ark.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Sylvester Griffin, Hoopster, Ill., and one brother, David [Daniel] Kirtley, Payette, Idaho. There are ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral Wednesday.
The body was removed to the Clark Chapel where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Robert W. Sage, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge. Burial will be in the city cemetery. Friends are privileged to call at the chapel at any time to pay their respects.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Catherine Derry, wife of Francis M. Derry, living northwest of the city, who died Sunday, will be conducted at the Clark Chapel Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Robert W. Sage, pastor of the First Baptist Church, in charge. Burial will be in the city cemetery. The body is lying in state at the chapel.
