R. W. BOOTH LAID TO
REST LAST SATURDAY
Funeral services for Robert W. Booth were held Saturday at 2:30 o'clock at the Waggener and Campbell chapel, Rev. B. Scott Bales officiating. The chapel was crowded to capacity by the many friends and neighbors and many beautiful flowers were arranged across the casket and the front of the chapel. A quartette composed of Miss Caroline, Mrs. Cora Jensen, H. M. Huck, and A. P. Bruce, sang two selections accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Frank Pufahl. Arthur Driscoll sang a solo accompanied at the piano by Maurice Driscoll. The pall bearers were Eugene McCabe, A. M. Moore, W. B. Lester, Arthur Aylesworth, F. N. Haynes and Mr. Colby. Interment was made in Conrad Memorial cemetery.
Robert M. Booth was born in November, 1867, at Albany, Illinois, where he grew to manhood. Leaving Illinois when a young man, he came to the Flathead and had been here for almost 42 years. Being a pioneer rancher he was familiar with all of the hardships of a new country. He had artistic skill and many of his drawings adorn the homes of his friends. Mr. Booth was always a kind and helpful neighbor and father.
Besides his widow, Mr. Booth is survived by a sister, Mrs. Carrie Rowland of Albany, Illinois; three brothers, Edward of Superior, Wisconsin, Walter of Mankato, Minnesota and Thomas of Litchfield, Minnesota. The brother, Walter was able to be present for the funeral.
For 42 years, Mr. Booth had been a member of the Modern Woodmen fraternity.
