Ira was the youngest of four children born to Earl M. and Mary Stewart. He was born in Prague, Oklahoma and after the family moved in 1921, he grew up in Cleveland County. He attended Moore School systems. Married to Lavieta Janeway and had two sons. They eventually moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma were he lived until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Flossie Campbell and brothers, Bailey and Manford Stewart. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Larry Morris of Ponca City and Ron and wife Judi, of Marion, Kansas.
My Uncle Ira was a great man, a very giving man. My mom (his sister) always said that Ira would give away his last dollar if he knew someone that needed it.
