Retired farmer John Harvey Robinson, 84, of Mt. Olive died Saturday at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and a mason.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Officiating ministers were the Rev. W. J. Murray, the Rev. Joe Crout and the Rev. Mike Thompson.
Robinson leaves three sons, Hulon Robinson of Indianola, Orlando Thomas Robinson of Memphis, Tn., Brent Robinson of Mize; one daughter, Mrs. Rachael Tew Kennedy of Mt. Olive; one brother, Sammy B. Robinson of Biloxi; one sister, Lou Elma Castectia of Burros, La.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren.
Mims Mitchell Funeral Home of Magee was in charge.
