Amos Madison Dodge married Lucy Jane Saunders on December 19, 1841 at Rowley. Amos was a farmer and stone mason, five feet, six inches in height, and about one hundred and ninety pounds in weight; strong, kind, generous, and of quick perception, industrious and hard working. His death was caused by an accident while at his work as a stone mason, March 7, 1874.
