GRAPELAND - Services for Vora Mena, 90, Grapeland, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church, Grapeland, with the Rev. Randy Fitzgerald officiating. Burial will be in Guiceland Cemetery under direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Grapeland. Mrs. Mena died Jan. 31, 2007, at Cartmell Home for the Aged in Palestine, Texas. She was born Oct. 12, 1916, in Grapeland to the late James Richard and Mattie Beeson. She was a homemaker and had worked as a cook for Grapeland schools. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Grapeland. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Ralph Wells, and brothers and sisters. Survivors include sons, Donald Wells, Palestine, and William Wells, Grapeland; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers are Bo Vickers, Jerry Yates, Glenn Pennington, Troy Pennington, Dewayne Douthitt and Pee Wee Wells.
