Adonis J. Casaus, 79, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2017, at Holladay Healthcare Center. He was born July 28, 1937 in Taos, New Mexico to Nelson and Eutilia Casaus. He married Rose Valdez in 1958 and had six children, but later divorced.

Adonis and his family moved to Dinkeyville, Utah when he was a small child. He joined the Marines in 1954 and was proud to be a Marine. He worked as a truck driver for Kennecott for a number of years.

He enjoyed playing the harmonica and was very good at it. He enjoyed jam sessions with other family members who played the guitar and other instruments.

Survived by his six children, Adonis Jr., Eileen (Bruce), Ernie (Lonni), Brenda, Debbie (Gary), Lisa; twelve grandchildren, April, Eric, Tori, Curtis, Gabriel, Savanna, Jovanni, Coty, LaTisha, Joshua, Alyssa; ten great-grandchildren, Devun, Brooklun, Caitlun, Eastin, Adaliz, Aniciela, Joaquin, Ivan, Eniyah, Julian; four siblings, Carol (Manuel), Albert, Amy, Mildred (Tommy) and many nephews and nieces.

Preceded in death by his parents, sister, MaryEllen (Lena) and grandson, Cole.

A viewing and funeral services will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 from 11 am to 1 pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 12278 Lone Peak Parkway, Draper, Utah. Burial services will be immediately following at West Jordan City Cemetery 7800 South 1300 West, West Jordan.
